And it's important to go through them so you actually get familiar with the importantce of each param. With Syntorial, you get the theory, and then you have to practice with the challenges. So you watch a YouTube video to hear the difference between Attack and Release. If you read an article about the theory, you won't hear what it sounds like. But with Syntorial, you get both the theory (in simple fashion) and the practice all in one. You could actually do it yourself, and go through each parameter of your synth and figure out what it actually does to the sound. Although I did not retain all the theory, going through 199 lessons forces you to train your ears. I think that's the best way to describe it yeah. If you heard a sound in a song could you recreate it accurately One of the best resources of music knowledge I've encountered (and I've been through tons of books and video courses). Just think that it's something you'll learn once and it will be valuable forever. Just continue, and use the hints sometimes. So to answer your question, yes I felt really strung out but that's how you learn. I sometimes go back to lessons to refresh my memory, but without doing the challenges. The content is very dense! Definitely great value for money. I started going through the Serum pack a few months ago. And even if knowledge-wise it wasn't necessary, practice-wise it was good. So instead of going through each challenge once, I sometimes did it 3 times in a row to get it perfect. I'm not sure if 3 stars is needed, but at least it forced me to practice even more. I managed to get 3 stars to all 199 lessons without the hint button.
